Note: I attempted to ask this question before, but it did not enter the que, posibly because of the link I provided. The link was to an aritcle called "FBI Enlists Internet Café Owners to Spy on Customers" published on Sibel Edmonds' Boiling Frogs. Open Question: Would civil engineering would be easy for me?
I'm interested in Interior Desighing. I really adore decorating homes and rooms. Anything based on decorating. I'm at the end of my grade 10, and I need to find my future career right now so that I could pick betwen Science field or Commerce or Business. Most probably science. Besides, I'm not sure about civil engineering. What is it xactly? My dad says I would do better in it, since I had been interesting in desighning homes throughout my childhood( first of every, I'm not a wanna-be it just comes naturally for me. And it doesn't xactly look like the Professionals either. But my sketchs rn't that bad). Its a passion of mine, that's wat I could say about my mind towards these.

Open Question: make my own filming business?
hey i'm Alan, i would like to make it as an actor/script writer, I've looked up that if i write the script for a movie then could i receive the role of the guide character seeing as he is based on me, however i couldn't find any results what so ever, so i thought about it after searching it up for hours on end "what if i made my possess film production company to help make my self and others successful and then sell it off when i'm fully established?" it sounded like a good idea, but i haven't done much research on the project i have just thought about. any way every i read on Robert shaye's (the head at new line cinema, in america) Wikipedia page that he started new line in college and that he started this business in the comfort of his possess home, any way my question is can i do that? how much would every the stuff be? would i have to write many scripts before starting it up? would it be successful? how could i make people interested in it? how would i attract aspiring actors? how would i make a profit from it as well as the other actor? how could i receive my movie in the cinemas? thank you for your answers. and please none of this receive a life and you suck stuff please. :D i should also mention that i'm only 16 so i most defiantly will not be doing porn, i'm not some cheap slut, no offence to pron start but still and i'm below age and tbh you should only do that stuff with someone that you adore.

Open Question: I'm getting frustrated with potty training a 5-month puppy, need help...?
This might be long and tedious to explain, LOL!! My gf bought a mini-schnauzer a few weeks ago, and admittedly didn't stick to any semblance of training. He was given a box attached to an x-pen, toys, water, and a potty patch at the opposite end. The pen was set up in the kitchen, but we were letting him run free while we were home. He now hates the kitchen, wants his freedom. So she has since left for a conference for work, and I've started remotely working in order to train him proper-like. I put the pen in the living room, where he likes to be. I put the box in the living room as well, but NOT attached to the pen. I'm up at 6am to take him out, feed him, and play for a bit (in the pen). Then I box him until noon. (I'm trying to mimic a typical work schedule) I take him out again at noon, feed him lunch, and play a bit more. Then it's back in the box until 5:30 for another bathroom break and dinner. This part is tough because after dinner, I want to let him stretch out and play a little. He's been cooped up every day and I'm sure he needs some exercise and such. But, he ends up peeing and/or pooing in the home after a little while. I know I'm supposed to take him back out again after eating, but he's figured out that outside is fun. So we go back and forth, in and out, every night. He wins every time, because I can't tell his "fake" bathroom signals from his real ones. I take him out, he messes about without doing his business, I take him in again, he signals, I take him out, messes about, back in, over and over. Eventually I ignore the signal and bang, pee and/or poo on the floor. I'm praising, rewarding, etc. but he's also figured out that treats are tasty and only listens to receive the treat. He never whines in his box, but won't go in to start with. I've read that you have to receive him to adore his box, but he's not doing it. When I toss in a great, he keeps his back legs out and reaches in. Eventually I have to close the door on him and give him no choice but to walk forward. Of course, now he's figured that put as well. He's absolutely great during the day. It's the night time thats the issue. It's like 8pm is the hour of the wolf. I just want him to dig his box so he'll go in. I've since taken down the pen every together, it serves little purpose. I use it to block the hallway and dining room, closing him off in the living room when it's feeding time / playtime. I bought a clicker and use it for box positive association as well as "sit" and "arrive". Downside is he's figured out the treats, so I now have to receive the treat first and give him the command in order to receive a response. He's a smart little dude, LOL!! I adore him to death and I know he wants to please me, but it's as if his dominance kicks in around the evening time. There's also been a bell on the door since day-1; completely useless. He hasn't gotten down "outside only" yet, let alone telling me when it's time to go. It doesn't help that he's 5-months now, so he's teething, testing, and his bladder control is longer. I use the front of the home because its easy and right off the living room. But it's a busy road and there are tons of distractions. I would use the backyard but it's the farthest possible door, her dad has 7 locks on it (he doesn't even live here, don't receive me started on that), the yard isn't fenced in, and there's a neighborhood cat that craps every over the lawn and he tries to eat it. I have a potty patch by the front door "in case" but he just ends up ripping the grass off the base during playtime. Tonight I caught him squatting for a pee on the floor and I interrupted him and moved him to the patch. He obviously didn't stay so I brought him outside...meddle meddle fuss about, no pee. 15-min later I bring him in, bang, pee in the home. It's rather annoying because again, this is just at night. During the day he goes just fine (because the box keeps him from peeing inside). It's nighttime when I let him play and stretch out that's the problem. So do I not let him play anymore? Do I simply box-pee-eat-box-pee? That won't work if I'm trying to mimic a work schedule, he'll end up having to pee while I'm at work. I'm really trying to set him up for success, but he's making it very difficult. He can't even odor a treat I toss at his feet, but knows its in my hand from the next room, LOL!!! I'm using Natures Miracle at the moment, but maybe it's not working? I'm a stickler for the details... So are you saying that after eating, I should be taking him out every 15mins or so UNTIL he goes, then box him again? How long do I wait outside until coming back in? And what about the box dilemma? He's not digging his box and I hate to "force him". The treats are freakin potent, LOL!! He just runs out and tries licking my fingers instead of laying down inside the box to like them while I close the door. Thanks again for helping. Ok the last couple of days went ok, and it's clear that a good degree of exercise gets him more tolerant. I've relaxed a bit and determined that the primary issue here is getting him to go into the box on his possess. Everythingive read says this should be fairly easy to accomplish, but this isn't the case with this guy. He's an angel when he's in the box, no whining no complaining, he just doesn't go in it on his possess. I have to entice with a treat. Even then he's slightly bigger than this method allows, because he only steps in with his front legs. I have to then close the gate gently behind him and give him no other direction to go but in. Is this ok? It seems to be taking forever.

Open Question: Why nasa are like couch potatoes hands in the pocket and not doing anything to travel into space.?
Why nasa only concentrate close by planets such as allways and allways just the moon... the mars every the times and sent robotic remotes to mars.. and such but never virtually sent robotic lets say far into space to outside of our zone ? This is whats bad... if us humans don't explore deep into space... and only just whats around us.. then how on the hell are we ever going to explore whats really out there in deep space ? you dont expect it to let the next generation people do the job for themselfs..... Course we do have the technology but people are just arogants and AFRAID oh they going to spend money to sent robotic to another planet even if the planet is 20 years away from us.... they scared they might be broke and end of business... Thats whats wrong with the company of nasa.... they afraid.... But surely you DO NOT let the next generation people do the job... and you been the arogant and only just look around whats close us such as allways mars... I mean receive real... you want to be more advance more smart.. you have every that you have the technology... just move on.... go deeper into space.... let the robotic land futher away from our zone.. who cares if it takes 20 or 50 years for the robotic to land to a planet that far away....... At least by then 20 or 50 years time.. humanity will aventually have the guts to not need to send robotic again that long when the robotic is allready landed on a planet that far of years..... Thats why if humanity was to speed up the things.. sent things in advance.. dont let the next generation people do the job for you or when your about to be dead with age.... seriously we aint like apes... and seriously we aint like the old romans time embra... we have the technology but they are afraid of the cost... if the cost is what worries business for nasa... then planet earth has issues... and that means it seems as companys like nasa will never receive no where and they will take 100s of years to reach a goal.. why? course they slow.... Did you know that if when humans went to the moon a few times in the 1970s was yet to continue every thru the 80s... by tardy 1990s nasa would allready have sent humans to MARS and by now in 2012 there would of been allready a home-base section built allready on mars with a fiew workers there of about 8 people. But because that aint gonna happen... they are never gonna reach a goal.. they expect 2020.. or 2035 but bet they every gonna lie and make it the year 2100 to archive anything. Anyone agrees with me? I mean receive real.. they sent humans to the moon long time ago but aparently they cease doing it... and now they are like hands in the pockets doing nothing but just experiment things but not going anywhere.... I would suggest nasa to travel into deep space... cease the experiments.. they allready do that daily 7 days a week for the last 20 or more years.. how much more experiments..... Just travel and explore instead.

Resolved Question: Need clarification on business use of home, from an employee working for an out of state company.?
I have done my possess taxes for many years but this year my situation has changed and I feel as though I am in uncharted waters. I have every intention of doing them myself and continuing to do so if I can receive some clarification on some things. I've read through the IRS tax publications multiple times but of course I understand only 80% since some of it is beyond my knowledge and training. I'm looking for some general insight and "lamens" explanations if possible. I will try to keep my questions quick and to the point. If they could every be addressed I would appreciate it since this will be a muli-part question. I am an employee working from home for an out of state company, I have passed every eligibility tests. I just started working from home mid-year (Aug 1st, 2011) so I understand things like utilities have to be prorated and only claimed for the time I started using a room in my home as business use only. -For the property tax, mortgage interest, and mortgage insurance I assume I would need to prorate those as well and only claim the 5 month portion? The way it states in the publication left those items open to interpretation in my opinion so I would like to confirm. I don't know if I can claim the entire amounts of those items since this space wasn't business use every year. -Deprecation of the home. This one is a little tricky. I have figured the depreciation on the home but I'm wondering how this will affect my tax situation if I should ever sell the home? Does the depreciation I claim now and in subsequent tax years to follow need to be kept track of? If so, if I was to sell the home, how far back do I have to take this depreciation into consideration? And again, how does that affect my sale? Does it affect the profit I make on the sale, does it lessen my value or asking price? -Improvements: I havent made any improvements to the home since I've bought it so these haven't arrive into play yet but lookig forward I will be. I know some are deductible and some are not but again, it sounds like the improvements could add to the cost basis of the home (which now is just the purchase price). Does that mean down the road I would have to add these to the "cost of my home" so I would need to keep track of them year-to-year? Again, for how long? The life of the home or does it only go back X-amount of years? It seems like a lot to keep track of if I plan to work from home and continue these deductions in years to arrive so I want to make sure I'm going it correctly. I don't want to give up deductions if I have them coming to me but I also want to make sure I'm recording them correcly and understand the possible tax implications down the road IF I ever sell my home. I don't want to be stuck going back 10 years to figure out every depreciation I took and every improvement I made and claimed. Finally, it looks like the depreciation you have to take. It goes hand-in-hand with claiming a home office. Do you have to take the improvements to the whole home if eligible? I know the tax laws are the tax laws but again it seems pretty in-depth when I work from home in a home office that is just a computer, some files, and a desk. The depreciation and that is great but it's not like I run a construction business or something major out of my home. I was expecting to only deduct the utlities that I use, mortgage based items (taxes, interest, etc). So this depreciation and improvement section threw me for a loop. Any in depth information or guidance would be appreciated. I am not a tax professional but take the time to learn and do my possess taxes. Please do not send just a link to an IRS pub as I have most of them and have read through them. These are the points that are unclear to me and I'd like a second opinion on from a knowledgeable source. Resolved Question: Laws in the UK regarding starting a part time business run from my own home?
I don't even know if you would call this a business, but i plan on trying to earn a little extra money while i'm not at work (have a full time job as it is, this would be on top of that). every i plan on doing is fixing people's computers, replacing PC parts, upgrading computers, building computers for people to cater for their specific needs and if this takes off i may also do some engineering drawings (this is what i do at work) as well as other basic computer based tasks that maybe the average person isn't able to, or can't be bothered to do themselves. Now i don't really know where i stand from a legal point of view about this. I don't even know if doing this sort of thing from my possess home every now and then is even classed as a business (i have litterally no business knowledge). To be honest, there are only a few people i know who are interested and they are every friends. I'm doing this for enjoyment as much as earning a bit of extra cash, so i'll probably be cheaper than your average store. Effectively, can i simply start doing this? Do i need to register to pay some sort of tax? Do i need to take out some sort of insurance?

Resolved Question: Is there a way to find out if a logistics company is phony?
A company sent me an email stating that they received my CV (resume). It seemed a little shady to me because they stated that packages would arrive to my home (jewelry, electronics etc...)I would boat them overseas. Almost sounds like a Nigerian scam. I went online to look if company was legit. Even though they have a website, it still feels shady. The company is based out of India. Why have items arrive out of my home when they can set up a tiny office? I will attach most of the letter. Some misspellings in the letter; another red flag, but since American English is not their native writing style, as is the queen's English, should I overlook it? Maybe I should check with the FBI? Voting Question: Son in some sort of 'counseling' at his Jr High without my consent; can they do this???!!!?
I am very upset to learn that my son has been attending some sort of counseling program at his Jr High. His grades have been bad because he is very lazy and the teachers have just let him slide. He is very smart so it is not like he has a learning problem, just a doing problem. He told me a couple months ago that he was involved in this thing called 'On Track' for kids who are having trouble with school work. I was thinking that this was great; that they were finally trying to help him to receive caught up/ receive to business, academically. 13 year old boys are not very forthcoming but he has let little things slip here and there about some of the things they talk about in 'On Track'. I started to receive suspicious and questioned him and found out that this group meeting has him out of his English class every Tuesday- which he says is his main reason for wanting to go, naturally. I googled this place and they are a non-profit addiction recovery program that does "school based counseling and treatment services" and is apparently contracted by the school. I was never informed of this and never given a permission slip and no information about this program whatsoever! I am shocked, appalled and very hurt that my son would be picked to attend something like this. I am not an alcoholic or drug addict! I have raised 2 other grown kids who are contributing members of society. My son is probably one of the least likely to receive involved in that sort of behavior. I work from my home so I can be there for him (and also keep close tabs). I am livid that they have decided to go over and over my parenting rights and particularly since it is definitely not helping him academically! One other thing- one of On Track's former counselors/former meth addict (He went through their program and then was hired by them) murdered his former girlfriend just this summer in our area. How did they meet? When she went through the On Track program and he was a counselor! That is so inappropriate and unprofessional and quite frankly, horrifies me. Can a public school just do this? What actions can I take? Where can I turn? I really feel that we have somehow been labeled and my rights have been trampled on big time! every the school has to say is that they are sorry and they do not know how my son got into this program without a permission slip. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am totally 100% convinced he is not doing anything wrong in that respect. As I stated, I am here in the morning when he leaves and here when he comes home. There is no lag time for him to do anything. He is not allowed to run unattended with other kids- like to hang out at the mall. Most of the time I encourage his friends to arrive here. He is not allowed to go to other houses if I do not know the parents. He really is a good kid that I receive compliments on every the time. When is the last time a 13 year old boy held a door for you or used 'please & thank you'? arrive on, you have to trust me on this- I do know my son very well. If he was in trouble I would be grateful for any and every help! That is just not the case.

I am a newcomer to the USA and have not previously filled out a tax return. My wife (a US citizen) filed for us jointly last year as I had just arrived and was as yet not authorized to work while awaiting Green Card approval. My business is a "sole proprietorship" with just myself on the books, I have registered my "fictitious" business name with the county clerk and will be getting my EIN tax number and a business bank account in the next few days. My wife has received her W2s from her employer and was planning to file her tax return for the year up to April 2012 in the next few weeks. I *think* that we can continue to file jointly but there will have to be an additional form (schedule C?) in addition to this? The thing is, while my business will have been a going concern for the weeks in February (and possibly March but she usually has it sent in well before the end of Feb) there probably will be next to nothing to actually "report" initially given that I may not have found my first customers yet and my outgoings will be next to nothing as I am using every my already existing computer equipment and working from home. How should this be reported and will I need to pay anything estimated for the the tax return she is about to file (period up to April)? I can confidently estimate that I'll probably earn very little indeed in that time! 2. I understand I need to report and pay my self employed taxes quarterly... how does this work with the other three payment periods (July, October, January?) - do I need to file an additional form to the yearly April tax return on these three occasions? 3. The info I've read states that each quarterly tax payment has to be "estimated" based on income I expect to make. We have had the perfect storm of financial problems and enrollment decline and BOE member dysfunction for the past 8 years. Our Holland Central School District is now looking to stay afloat by slashing teachers and programs. We have always had a fine educational standing in the Erie County School system but with the "accessories" our district has not had (Football) and other "Accessories" being clip left and right our district has seen enrollment decreases over and beyond the nys averages. our kids are going more to home schooling and private schools because of it. Our BOE like most are majority ruled/elected and are not educationally prioritized. rather they are financially prioritized and that has resulted in the slow deterioration of our schools quality of education. Add that unique circumstance to ny's common lack of tax base and state residency reductions through disappearing jobs and migrating college graduates to other job wealthy areas and we have a dying school system with its leadership holding a bankruptcy sale soon. MY SUGGESTION... apart from the obvious one i've made for years *if you treat our school like a business do so responsibly and invest.. current business' that don't invest to grow usually die off* But more directly to you mr president.. eliminate the unfair inequitable practice of letting voters vote on school budgets. every school and every student no matter where they are (a wealthy neighborhood or needy) should receive the same funding !! letting voters only vote on ONE GOVERNMENTAL BUDGET IS DISINGENUOUS AND HYPOCRITICAL ! of course overtaxed over frustrated voters are going to take their frustration out the only venue you afford them and where does that leave the minority educational community.. and more importantly our kids .. hung out to dry for a temporary savings of a buck or two in comparison to the much much larger governmental budgets we cannot vote on.. shame on that practice. Please fund every schools everywhere equally. Please offer every child everywhere the same offerings of sports, arts, music, etc no matter their location. Resolved Question: How do I clean extremely dirty walls and prevent dust build up?
I have been in the process of cleaning up my office as I have started a home based business. The biggest problems I have faced have mainly been with getting the door level, which is done, and now am trying to clean the walls. These walls are very dirty, as they were painted white, and you can definitely look the dust and dirt that has acquired. I have been scrubbing like crazy with things like simple green, mean green, Goo Gone, vinegar and water, tried a glue made of dawn dish soap and borax, and also have tried using baking soda since it is a mild abrasive. I use 2 separate buckets, one for cleaning and the other for my cloth to wipe down afterwards and have even used mild scotch brite pads on these walls. No matter what I seem to do, the next day it seems to be dirty again. One problem I have is that the crawlspace to the attic where the furnace is is in this room, but I applied weatherstripping and refastened everything there to seal it and also have sealed the window with plastic. The paint is not in bad shape except for where I spackled the screw holes from the previous tenants and so I am wondering if there are any other tips on keeping it clean. I have also used alcohol and water, but have considered trying a mixture of denatured alcohol and water, but do not know what it would do to the paint as I use it on electronics every the time. I also live in Kansas where it can receive very dusty but I need to keep this clean as my clients will be coming at the end of the month for me to do their taxes and also bookkeeping. I have hired a housekeeper, but that is only 2 hours a week. Any cleaning tips would be great, on getting this cleaned. I am also concerned that maybe the ducts in the home may need cleaned even though I change filters every 1-2 months plus run a carbon air filter in the office and a humidifier when I am in here. I do use a vacuum, I possess a store vac handi vac and a kirby sentria with every the attachments., this stuff has been taking elbow grease like crazy. Tried the other cleaner too. Most of my cleaners I have to buy the concentrated versions for this reason.

Taxes: The federal government taxes too much, too often. Welfare and Poverty: The Welfare limit needs to be clip to five years, unless a person can't work do to health issues. I don't think it's fair that I pay for someone else's livelihood while I work difficult for my money. I consider myself a social conservative, but find that every of the Republican candidates (as of right now) are almost too extreme. I was pulling for Herman Cain, but he's dropped out and now I am at a loss of who to vote for.

Voting Question: Do you KNOW of a good home-based business?
It should cost as little as possible to receive into...return a reasonable amount (by "reasonable," I mean not promising, for instance, that you'll receive thousands of dollars a month for your investment of only $5 or so)...and start paying as soon as possible. What about Volusion and BigCommerce and Google and other such home-based Internet businesses? Please only report your possess personal experiences, or those you have observed. No speculation, no attempts to recruit...PLEASE. I don't mind if what you suggest is an MLM opportunity, as long as you know it has a track record of offering ordinary people the opportunity for gainful self-employment from home. I guess I should've been a little clearer. It's not that I don't have skills; I do --- and an excellent formal education (although maybe that doesn't arrive through in my postings!). My problem is that I'm OLD; most everyone believes that I'm in my mid-50s, but I'm actually 70. To be honest, though, mid-50s is old. And, in today's economy, if I were a business owner or HR director, and I had two equally-qualified applicants to consider for a single opening, and one of them was older and experienced but single, while the other was younger and had a family to support, to whom would the job go? Did your government teachers educate you about Franklin D. Roosevelt’s political goals? Mine didn’t either (and I’m 70 years old). They told me how FDR hired millions of federal workers during the Great Depression and about winning WW2. They also told me about the gruesome slaughter of Indians and how the wealthy elite Founders owned slaves; about American imperialism and America being the only nation to drop nukes. They told me how the USSR was trying to create a better society for every people; about how wealthy Mellon, Carnegie and Ford were -- and how needy the people of Appalachia were. But they never told me about FDR’s political goals, even though Lesson Number One should have been his possess words: 1/11/44 FDR’s address to Congress: “We have accepted, so to talk, a second Bill of Rights below which a new basis of security and prosperity can be established for every—regardless of station, race, or creed. McDonald’s confirms that it’s no longer using ‘pink slime’ chemical in hamburgers By Eric Pfeiffer Ammonium hydroxide, image from KSDK TV McDonald's announced last week that, as of last August, is has stopped using ammonium hydroxide in the production of its hamburgers. MSNBC reports that the chemical, used in fertilizers, household cleaners and even homemade explosives, was also used to prepare McDonalds' hamburger meat. And while the announcement is making headlines, you may (or may not) want to know about some other unusual chemicals being used in the production of some of our most-popular foods: The International Business Times lists some other questionable chemicals showing up in our foods: Propylene glycol: This chemical is very similar to ethylene glycol, a dangerous anti-freeze. This less-toxic cousin prevents products from becoming too solid. Some ice creams have this ingredient; otherwise you'd be eating ice. Carmine: Commonly found in red food coloring, this chemical comes from crushed cochineal, tiny red beetles that burrow into cacti. Husks of the beetle are ground up and forms the basis for red coloring found in foods ranging from cranberry juice to M&Ms. Shellac: Yes, this chemical used to finish wood products also gives some candies their sheen. It comes from the female Lac beetle. L-cycsteine: This common dough enhancer comes from hair, feathers, hooves and bristles. Lanolin (gum base): Next time you chew on gum, remember this. The goopiness of gum comes from lanolin, oils from sheep's wool that is also used for vitamin D3 supplements. Silicon dioxide: Nothing weird about eating sand, right? This anti-caking agent is found in many foods including shredded cheese and quick food chili. So, what moved McDonald's to make the change in their hamburger production? In a statement posted on its website, McDonald's senior director of quality systems Todd Bacon wrote: "At the beginning of 2011, we made a decision to discontinue the use of ammonia-treated beef in our hamburgers. This product has been out of our supply chain since August of last year. This decision was a result of our efforts to align our global standards for how we source beef around the world." The U.S. Agriculture Department classifies the chemical as "generally recognized as safe." McDonald's says they stopped using the chemical months ago and deny the move came after a public campaign against ammonium hydroxide by celebrity cook Jamie Oliver. You can watch video of Jamie Oliver showing the process of using ammonium hydroxide on meat here: The food industry uses ammonium hydroxide as an anti-microbial agent in meats, which allows McDonald's to use otherwise "inedible meat." On his show, Oliver said of the meat treatment: "Basically we're taking a product that would be sold in the cheapest form for dogs and making it 'fit' for humans." Even more disturbing, St. Louis-based dietician Sarah Prochaska told NBC affiliate KSDK that because ammonium hydroxide is considered part of the "component in a production procedure" by the USDA, consumers may not know when the chemical is in their food. "It's a process, from what I understand, called 'mechanically separated meat' or 'meat product,'" Prochaska said. "The only way to avoid it would be to pick fresher products, cook your meat at home, cook more meals at home."

Resolved Question: HELP! Fraud Alert..Can you Help me find Ryan Joseph Wrobel of Naperville, Plainfield or Hoffman Estates.?
For Xmas this year I purchased a 'new never used' verizon blackberry phone for $100 from a guy on Craigslist named Ryan Wrobel. He said he decided to receive another phone instead; therfore it was never used and no number has ever been assigned to it. After a few emails, he finally agreed to meet my husband at his wifes place of business, a resale store in Naperville, Xmas eve day in Naperville for the transaction. It went fine, no red flags until he got home. This, by the way, was my Xmas gift this year. After he got home, we tried to activate this phone and we were told through Verizon that this phone is registered to another person, in fact the phone number was a New Jersey phone number, still active, and could not and would not be re-activated until that person called them personally. First I was stunned it was registered, Ryan Wrobel said it was never activated. Second, I was stunned it was still a working line! Well, upon emailing Ryan Wrobel numerous times, he told me to just toss in a sim card; this phone does not have a sim card. Then he told us that he would contact Verizon and "fax them" some information, he said a release. According to verizon, there is no need for a fax, a simple call to them, as the account holder is enough to release it. In fact it is very odd that someone would even do that they told me. In addition, they said it would be best to try to do a 3 way call to clear up the matter. Well days turned into weeks and many emails back and forth occurred with no resolution. The 3 way call suggestion did not fly as Ryan Wrobel did not want to do that. Red Flag.Another red Flag was that he never offered up his cell number to us. The only way we could reach him was via email.Very odd, especially since he knew I was having these issues.looking back it every makes sense, but at the time I was still thinking it was just a mistake, not a scam. Verizon tells us based on the ID numbers , the person I bought the phone from, Is not the person who holds the account and this continues to be a fraudulent transaction. Ryan Wrobel claims to be a very successful IT business owner; therefore it was shocking to me that such a person would not want to kindly refund me the $100 and move on. Most legit business owners would do that.I mean, It's $100..what's that to a business owner? Instead, I have documented ugly emails from this person and so I decided to Google this 'successful business owner' and boy did I receive a shock.He does not possess an IT business. He works for a company as an IT manager in Hoffman Estates. Even more frightening, as a matter of public record I found that he was arrested for DOMESTIC BATTERY 720 ILCS 570/406(B)(3) 4 OBTAIN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE BY FRAUD 720 ILCS 5/12-2(A)(1) A AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:DEADLY WEAPON/AIR RIFLE. http://www.bustedmugshots.com/illinois/plainfield/ryan-joseph-wrobel/22273031 YIKES! every I wanted was a blackberry phone for Xmas.
